Standard service catalogues and plant engineering

What is a bill of quantities? A bill of quantities describes all activities and the associated work steps in detail and transparently.

Maintenance, planning, tendering and billing on the basis of standard service specifications.
A sophisticated standard service specification provides transparency for both clients and contractors. In contrast to the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB), the service contents defined in the standard service specifications correspond specifically to the services to be awarded for plant construction. Standard service specifications (StLV) in the area of plant construction contain item numbers, short texts, prose texts (complete service description), working time values or prices for the respective trade. It is advisable to specify additional material, height and difficulty surcharges so as not to mix up the prices for the individual items.

Standard service catalogues in the fields of plant engineering and construction contain position numbers, short texts, complete descriptions of service and achievement, working hours values or fees of the single lots. The determination of extra amounts concerning materials or additional hardship boni - for free height or other difficult conditions - is recommended to keep the fees for the single positions unblended. A fully developed service catalogue shall reproduce all occurring works and services of each single lot.

Essential is the fact that all recorded positions listed in the catalogue are offering a price guarantee to the customers and de contractors as well and therefore are allowing a precise pre-calculation and also a simplified post-calculation.
